HELP

Welcome to On The Wings Of A Dove

Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; but the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; and the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth. And he stayed yet other seven days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.

Genesis 8:9-12 (KJV)

Hello, my name is Diane Girardin Bourgelas, and welcome to  On The Wings Of A Dove. I chose On The Wings Of A Dove for my website as a symbol of hope. Do you remember the scriptures of Noah and the Ark? Well, when Noah wanted to see if there was any hope for land he sent out the dove, the dove returned with an olive leaf.  The scriptures above shows what the dove did how it led to the olive leaf.

-Hope Genesis 6:9 - 8:22

-For Noah the dove was a sign of hope for land = Hope

-Dove brings back with him an olive leaf = olive oil = anointing for healing

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

James 5:14 (KJV)

So On The Wings Of A Dove, God sends us hope from God for healing

This idea has been put on my heart by God.

I have been suffering with Chronic pain for over twenty years. On my last visit with , this time with a pain specialist, I was left disappointed, by being told to just use the "mind over matter" treatment, also that everybody has pain one way or another. and to deal with it. This was my last resort.

On my way back home from that appointment, my mind kept telling me something about scripture, God, others with chronic pain, and helping. At first I thought it was to write my story about chronic pain and my illness, and all I've been through all my life, but somehow it wasn't satisfying me. Then one night (when I do my best talks with God,), instead of sleeping, I could hear God saying: "Gather others with chronic pain of any kind and show them what you have been doing to calm down your pain, and to also help further your faith to get your healing. Show the people how it is helping you and continue doing it together."

Well, do you honestly think I felt like sleeping after that? Of course not, right away the wheels in my head started turning and I had to start jotting things down not to forget what He said and what to do. I was so excited!

So that's what brings me here. For details of my journey here, please read my INTRODUCTION page.
